Late in 2007 Pastor Doug Jones saw his home town of Hot Springs, Arkansas for perhaps the first time in his life coming under an all out attack by immorality.

The 100 year old Race Track, Oaklawn Jockey club announced their plans to bring an additional 900 electronic gambling machines on to their premises to add to the 500 they already had. In addition he attended a meeting sponsored by “CHOICE” an affiliated organization of “Planned Parenthood” wherein they proudly declared their intentions of making Hot Springs the third city in the state of Arkansas to have an abortion clinic. Finally  pastor Doug attended a meeting cosponsored by “CHOICE”, “Just Communities of Central Arkansas” and “REGARD” Called “Straight Talk on Homosexuality”. At this meeting a panel of Homosexuals and supporters gave their story. Nearly everyone of them professed to be Christian. When he asked how they could balance Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:27 with their lifestyle they stated “we don’t take the Bible literally”.

The Pastor went home after that last meeting and wept. He begged God to raise up someone to take up the fight for the cause of Christ in Hot Springs. During that sleepless night God brought him to Ezekiel 33 and after reading the whole chapter it was as if God said “well pastor what’s wrong with you”. He offered every excuse he could think of but in the end pastor Doug surrendered and said yes “Lord, here am I”.

In the first seven months 70 churches out of the 225 in Garland County came on board to fight a common foe and agreeing in principle that is time to work together for the kingdom of God. We have learned that our enemy is not the church down the street or across town. We have a common enemy that seeks to destroy homes, rob our children of their innocence, and bring shame to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is our firm belief that if the universal church of Jesus Christ will stand up for morality and justice we can make a difference.
